A door sensor checks whether your door - e.g. B. front door or patio door - is open or closed. This is important if you want to strengthen your security concept at home or optimize heating.

Since the door sensor per Wireless (Zigbee) is networked with your smart home center, other smart home devices can receive information from the door sensor: If the door sensor in the living room reports "door open", the smart radiator thermostat in the living room reacts automatically and turns the heating down. If the door sensor in the hallway reports "Door open" even though you are out and about with your family, the activated alarm siren reacts immediately with a shrill warning tone.
