Smart home lockout protection protects you from accidentally locking yourself out of your home. A concrete example: Late in the evening you are still sitting comfortably on the terrace, it is getting dark - and suddenly the electric shutters are automatically lowered. The patio door is blocked by the shutters before you make it inside the house in time. If you have integrated lockout protection in your smart home, this cannot happen to you.

The lock-out protection is usually attached via a window handle sensor. If the patio door is still open when the roller shutter closes automatically, the sensor recognizes this and blocks the planned execution. If you later close the patio door manually again, the sensor will also notice this and the original time control for closing the roller shutters will start again for the next day.
