radiator thermostat

The radiator thermostat is part of the heating system. It regulates how much heating water flows through the radiator and is therefore used to regulate the temperature of the heating system.

In existing buildings you can often still find old radiator thermostats that you can only turn to the left/right to a different level in order to adjust the heat output of the heating system. modern Smart home radiator thermostats do more: The user can program various heating profiles via the radiator thermostat or the associated app and thus adapt the heating output precisely to his needs. For example, it is possible to keep the temperature constant at 17 degrees at night, increase it to 21 degrees from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and then lower it again to 17 degrees by the end of the day. Once the heating profile has been programmed, the user no longer needs to adjust it manually. The heating does its job automatically. By programming the smart radiator thermostat in a targeted manner, heating costs can be reduced by up to 30 percent a year.
