humidity

In the living area, the humidity is an important feel-good factor - and also decisive for whether mold can form easily or not. The value of the humidity indicates how much water vapor is in the room air.

In living rooms, the humidity should not exceed 60% to avoid mold growth. But even a value below 40% is problematic: the mucous membranes dry out, which can lead to coughing and constant sneezing, among other things. Furniture and wooden floors can also be damaged by insufficient humidity as the wood dries out and warps.

In the smart home, the room climate can be monitored with the help of temperature and humidity sensors. The measured values are conveniently read off via the app. It is also possible to be notified via smartphone when critical values are reached.
