New in the range: a WLAN surveillance camera for indoor and outdoor use that automatically detects movements and sends them as a live stream to the owner's smartphone. In an emergency, he can record the threatening on-site situation as a video, call the police - and also use the intercom system integrated in the camera to loudly chase away the unwanted visitors. The retail price of the wireless camera is 89.95 euros.

The commissioning of the essentials smart home surveillance camera is very easy: First, the camera mount is screwed to the desired location. The camera is then attached to the bracket with a strong magnet. This clever fastening principle ensures that the user can rotate the camera freely and thus optimally align it with the area to be captured. After switching on, the camera connects to the WLAN. Last but not least, it is added as a device and configured in the associated essentials app – the basic installation is complete.

Seven meters range during the day, five meters at night

When the camera is activated, the integrated infrared sensor reacts to movements and automatically triggers video transmission in full HD quality. The sensor has a range of seven meters in daylight and five meters in night vision mode. The user immediately receives the live video transmission as a push message on his mobile phone. At the same time, the video can be stored directly in the camera on a micro SD card (card not included) or transferred to cloud storage. wesmartify offers storage space in the cloud via its technology partner Tuya as an option in a subscription model from €3.99 per month. With servers in Germany (Frankfurt/Main), the highest level of data security is guaranteed.

Weatherproof model

The essentials smart home surveillance camera has been awarded protection class IP 65. That means: It is dust-tight and protected against water jets - and therefore also ideal for outdoor use, e.g. B. for monitoring the house entrance, terrace area, garden or even the mobile home.

intercom on board

Since the surveillance camera is equipped with both a loudspeaker and a microphone, it can also be used as an intercom system: not only to scare burglars away, but also, for example, to communicate with the courier who is standing in front of the front door.

Compatible with Tuya's Smart Life App

Users of the widely used Smart Life app from Tuya do not need to download the essentials app as well. The smart home surveillance camera from essentials can also be controlled via the Smart Life app.

Whether alarm siren, window sensor or motion sensor: If you want to further expand your home security system, you will find what you are looking for in the wesmartify online shop.
